Pick up from your hotel at 0730 hrs and drive via the scenic Great Rift Valley, to the Mara Reserve arriving in good time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge

Maasai Mara is one
of the most famous
and important
wildlife
conservation and
wilderness areas in
Africa,
world-renowned for
its exceptional
populations of lion,
African leopard,
cheetah and African
bush elephant. It
also hosts the Great
Migration, which
secured it as one of
the Seven Natural
Wonders of Africa,
and as one of the
ten Wonders of the
World. Wildebeest, topi,
zebra, and Thomson's
gazelle migrate into
and occupy the Mara
reserve, from the
Serengeti plains to
the south and Loita
Plains in the
pastoral ranches to
the north-east, from
July to October or
later. Herds of all
three species are
also resident in the
reserve All members of the
"Big Five" lion,
leopard, elephant,
Cape buffalo, black
and white rhinos are
found here all year
round,
Hippopotamuses and
crocodiles are found
in large groups in
the Mara and Talek
rivers Over 470 species of
birds have been
identified in the
park, many of which
are migrants, with
almost 60 species
being raptors.Birds
that call this area
home for at least
part of the year
include: vultures,
marabou storks,
secretary birds,
hornbills, crowned
cranes, ostriches,
long-crested eagles,
African
pygmy-falcons and
the lilac-breasted
roller, which is the
national bird of
Kenya. Hot air balloon
safaris are readily
available in this
park
Day 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi-Entebbe-Kampala
Morning game drives then drive to
the airstrip to
Connect a flight to
Entebbe and transfer

Arise early to the great forest sounds of the
African Jungle for your breakfast. With our packed
lunches
Within Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, there are 4
different areas where you can track the mountain
gorillas, and they include Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga
and Nkuringo. Each of these areas has specialized
accommodation close to the tracking area.
The park is a sanctuary for colobus monkeys,
chimpanzees and many birds (such as hornbills and
turacos). It is perhaps most notable for Bwindi
gorillas, half the world's population of the
critically endangered mountain gorillas.

A wake up call from the jungle creatures ushers you
